Luces del norte – stories from the distant North, where ghosts of pirates swim the waters of the Baltic Sea and witches are as deadly as the vipers they send. Join us on a journey to alternate realities where life can be captured in brass, and where the fabric of time is weaved by spiders.
Luces del norte – Antología de ciencia ficción finlandesa introduces a selection of short stories from the rising generation of Finnish science fiction and fantasy writers. Among the writers there are established authors, with several books to their name, as well as new talents. The stories represent speculative fiction with special emphasis on steampunk. As the name of our anthology suggests, we aim to bring forth a collection of “northern lights”, shining stories from writers whose work has not yet been translated in Spanish.
Luces del norte -anthology is published by Osuuskumma. Osuuskumma is a publishing cooperative founded, owned and managed by the authors. As publishers our aim is to bring forth new talents, highlight the kind of genre literature that the mainstream does not often notice, and continue the tradition of publishing first rate anthologies of Finnish speculative fiction.
